About Us

We’ve been welcoming guests to Hungarian Hall for over 30 years. Beginning with outdoor activities and corporate hospitality at the end of the nineties, the huge success of a family marquee wedding held here in 2007 gave us food for thought.

We decided to create Hungarian Hall Events, and turned the estate into the wedding and events venue you see today. We got our licence for ceremonies in late 2008 and we’ve been making memories for happy couples ever since! With four unique locations for us to hold wedding ceremonies, beautiful receptions and unforgettable events, our venue in the heart of the Suffolk countryside is perfect for happy times.

Meet David and Diane

David and Diane are a husband and wife team who are dedicated to creating your dream event, just the way you want it.

They bought Hungarian Hall in the late seventies. Originally a working arable farm, it has been through several transformations until it became the wedding venue and short break destination you see today.

Diane helps with enquiries and invoicing, and is available to answer any queries you have in the lead up to your wedding or event. David looks after the running of the venue, and is on hand day and night to make sure everything goes as it should.

Meet Chris & Michaela

Chris and Michaela, Diane and David's son and daughter-in-law, make a great team handling admin and office tasks, while also lending a hand with events.

Chris, who’s been with our sister company, Anglia Coastal Marquees, for 14 years, oversees its operations. He’s also the go-to person for managing our website and social media channels.

Michaela is the newest member of our family business, having recently made the exciting leap into this career. She’s always ready to assist with planning, on-the-day support for events, and admin duties, as well as handling lettings for The Apple Barn.
