Family-run, proudly independent and part of the Suffolk countryside for over 30 years.
Hungarian Hall Estate has been welcoming guests for more than three decades. What began with outdoor activities and corporate hospitality in the late 1990s took a new direction in 2007, when a family wedding was held in a marquee here on the estate.
That celebration sparked an idea – to share this special corner of Suffolk with other couples and families looking for somewhere relaxed, beautiful and a little different to celebrate.
Hungarian Hall became a licensed wedding venue in 2008 and has continued to grow and evolve ever since. Today, the estate offers beautiful indoor and outdoor ceremony settings, our spacious marquee, versatile event spaces and The Apple Barn accommodation – all surrounded by the Suffolk countryside.
Through all those changes, one thing has remained the same: we’re still a family-run venue and we genuinely care about every celebration held here.

Meet Chris & Michaela
Chris and Michaela are the next generation of the family behind Hungarian Hall Estate and work together to keep everything running smoothly.
As Event Manager, Michaela is your main point of contact at Hungarian Hall, bringing plenty of experience and a friendly, organised approach to every celebration. From your first enquiry and venue viewing through to planning meetings and the final details before the big day, Michaela will be there to guide you through the process. She also oversees The Apple Barn accommodation and works closely with couples, clients and suppliers to make sure everything comes together.
Chris has been part of the family’s sister company, Anglia Coastal Marquees, for over 15 years and oversees its day-to-day operations. His extensive experience with marquees and events means he’s always on hand behind the scenes, helping with the practical side of the venue and making sure everything is ready for each event.
Together, Chris and Michaela combine experience, organisation and a genuinely personal approach – helping every couple and client feel at home at Hungarian Hall.
Meet David & Diane
David and Diane are at the heart of Hungarian Hall’s story. They bought the estate in the late 1970s, when it was still a working arable farm, and over the years have seen it evolve through many different chapters into the wedding, events and accommodation venue it is today.
After many years of welcoming couples and helping to build Hungarian Hall into the family business it has become, Diane has now stepped back and is enjoying a well-earned retirement.
David remains very much part of life at Hungarian Hall and continues to help with the day-to-day running of the estate. With decades of knowledge and experience, he’s often working behind the scenes and is always on hand to help make sure everything runs smoothly.
Their involvement and dedication over the years have shaped Hungarian Hall into the relaxed, welcoming and truly family-run venue it is today.
