Andrea & James’ Summer Wedding Reception at Hungarian Hall Estate

On 1st August 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Andrea and James, along with their family and friends, to Hungarian Hall Estate for their beautiful summer wedding reception.

The couple began their wedding day with their ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Martlesham, before making their way to Hungarian Hall in a gorgeous classic wedding car. With blue skies and sunshine waiting for them, it was the perfect afternoon for guests to enjoy the gardens, drinks and celebrations outside.

A relaxed summer reception

Andrea and James chose a wonderfully soft and elegant colour palette of sage green, ivory and touches of lilac and purple. Inside the marquee, the tables were simply and beautifully styled with delicate flowers, candles and sage green details, allowing the surrounding gardens to provide the perfect backdrop.

Their beautiful wedding flowers were created by Lucy from LB Floral, with Andrea carrying a gorgeous bouquet filled with soft lilac roses, white blooms and greenery.

Throughout the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, guests were entertained by pianist Patrick Keyz. Live piano music created such a lovely atmosphere and was the perfect accompaniment to their relaxed summer celebrations.

Food, cake and plenty of treats

The wedding breakfast was provided by our regular caterers, Jamie Lee Smith Catering, who looked after Andrea and James and their guests throughout the day.

Rather than just a traditional wedding cake, the couple created a fabulous dessert display featuring their M&S wedding cake, alongside cupcakes, cookies and plenty of brownies. Later in the evening, guests were treated to freshly cooked pizza – always a popular choice once the dancing gets underway!

Making the most of the grounds

One of the loveliest things about an August wedding at Hungarian Hall is being able to make full use of the grounds. Guests relaxed on the lawn, children had plenty of room to play and Andrea and James were able to sneak away for some beautiful photographs around the estate.

The golden-hour photographs amongst the wildflowers are particularly special and really capture the relaxed countryside feel of their day.

The whole wedding was beautifully photographed by Hayley Denston Photography, who captured everything from their church ceremony and arrival at Hungarian Hall to the smallest details and evening celebrations.

Time to party

As daylight faded, celebrations moved onto the dance floor, with The Wedding DJs providing the evening entertainment. Guests could also head to the Hire A Pod photobooth for some fun photographs and memories to take home.

It was a day that felt incredibly relaxed, personal and full of family – exactly the kind of summer wedding we love to host at Hungarian Hall.
