Nicola & Ripton’s Stylish Black & White Summer Wedding

On 8th August 2026, Nicola and Ripton celebrated their wedding at Hungarian Hall Estate, and what a fabulous summer wedding it was! Beautiful sunshine, sophisticated black and white styling, fantastic food and plenty of entertainment made this a day to remember.

A Summerhouse Ceremony

Nicola and Ripton chose our beautiful Summerhouse for their outdoor ceremony. With glorious August sunshine and the gardens providing a naturally beautiful backdrop, it was the perfect setting for them to say their vows surrounded by family and friends.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds made their way through a shower of confetti – one of those wonderfully joyful moments that sums up a wedding day perfectly.

The beautiful weather also provided plenty of opportunity for photographs around the estate, with the gardens looking at their very best.

Nicola and her bridesmaids carried elegant white bouquets created by Flower Rush, which worked beautifully with the black and white theme.

Stylish Black & White Wedding Décor

Nicola had a very clear vision for the styling of their day, choosing an elegant black and white colour palette.

The décor was created by Nicola herself alongside her friend Tamisha from MCK Weddings, and the attention to detail was fantastic.

White floral arrangements were used throughout the marquee, including statement arrangements along the front of the top table. Black accents provided the perfect contrast, creating a sophisticated and contemporary look.

One of our favourite details was their personalised statement mirror welcoming guests into the wedding. Decorated with white flowers and featuring Nicola and Ripton's names and wedding date, it fitted their theme perfectly.

A Marquee Wedding Breakfast

Guests then headed into our marquee for the wedding breakfast, where Jamie Lee Smith Catering (JLS) looked after everyone.

The ivory draping, chandeliers and fairy lights of the marquee provided a beautiful backdrop for Nicola and Ripton's monochrome styling, while the clear sides allowed the August sunshine and views of the surrounding grounds to become part of the setting.

A Very Personal Addition to the Evening Food

There was an extra-special touch when it came to the evening food.

Alongside catering from JLS during the wedding day, the evening food was provided by the groom Ripton's own company, Yard Kitchen Ltd. We loved that they were able to incorporate their own business into the celebrations and make the evening even more personal to them.

Casino Tables & Evening Entertainment

Nicola and Ripton certainly made sure there was plenty to keep their guests entertained!

The evening included two casino tables from Red & Black Casinos, giving guests the chance to have a little fun at the tables between trips to the dance floor.

MCK Weddings also provided the DJ and giant letters for the evening celebrations, transforming the marquee ready for the party to continue into the night.

Three Nights at The Apple Barn

Nicola and Ripton also made their wedding into a proper celebration by staying for three nights at The Apple Barn, our on-site accommodation at Hungarian Hall Estate.

Having accommodation just a short walk from the wedding celebrations meant they could settle in before the big day and enjoy their time with us without having to rush away the following morning.

It's one of the things we love most about having accommodation on site – your wedding doesn't have to feel like just one day. You can arrive, get ready, celebrate and then enjoy the morning after surrounded by the people closest to you.

Capturing the Day

With so much happening, there were plenty of moments to capture.

Nicola and Ripton's day was documented by Hayley from The Lux Edit and Martell from martell.txv, from the beautiful details and bridal party to the confetti celebrations and evening entertainment.

It was such a pleasure welcoming Nicola, Ripton and all their guests to Hungarian Hall Estate.

Their wedding was stylish yet full of personality, with the classic black and white décor looking stunning throughout the venue. Add in a Summerhouse ceremony, glorious summer weather, wonderful food, casino tables and a fantastic evening celebration, and it made for a very memorable August wedding.
